![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() While I'm not a developer and just a Moderator, I hope this explanation makes sense. Given that the team was ready to move onto new projects and such an endeavored investment was not sustainable for Pathea Games, they opted to instead make the game Free to Play, because without the multiplayer as promised, they felt it went back against their original goals for the game to charge new purchasers for it. However, after the games final patch, they ran into a problem where the company that actually ran the server hosting for multiplayer went under and since the multiplayer system was designed around going through this route, would require an entire re-write of the multiplayer code to re-design it for Direct Connect and LAN connection. No doubt when you originally purchased the game, it was intended to be multiplayer, and was designed to be such and was such for most of the development time. It does seem a little strange to complain about it being made free over five years after the fact, and to demand developer attention over it, when its been made clear they were finished with what they had planned to do with the game. Planet Explorers was made free quite some time ago. ![]()
